Helping Ireland’s Native Woodlands Grow

At Spry Finance, we’re committed to helping people build a secure future. Through our partnership with Irish Trees, we’re also helping create a greener one.

From 2026, for every new lifetime mortgage completed by Spry Finance, a native Irish tree will be planted in the customer’s name at Dunsany Nature Reserve, Co. Meath.

These trees will become part of Dunsany Estate’s 750-acre rewilding sanctuary, helping to restore native habitats, support biodiversity, and create a lasting environmental legacy for future generations.

It’s a simple idea with a long-term impact. Just as our customers plan for the future, these trees will continue to grow, benefiting wildlife, communities and the environment for years to come.

Putting Down Strong Roots

The trees planted through Irish Trees form part of one of Ireland’s most significant private nature restoration projects.

Thousands of native trees are planted at Dunsany Estate each year, helping to create thriving woodland habitats for birds, pollinators and other wildlife. As these woodlands mature, they enhance biodiversity, strengthen local ecosystems and contribute to the long-term restoration of Ireland’s natural landscape.

Irish Trees carefully selects native species, including oak, birch, rowan and hazel, ensuring each tree is suited to the local environment and supports the surrounding habitat. Watch the video below to learn more about their work.
